Absolutely stunning 60s satin brocade skirt suit. The fitted jacket features an elegant roll over collar that stands away from the neck. It buttons up the centre front with fabric covered round buttons and bound buttonholes. The high-waist straight skirt is mid-length with rounded hips. It closes with a side metal zipper and plastic button. Neither are lined but they are beautifully finished with bound seams.
LABEL: Made in Hong Kong
COLOUR: Pale yellow gold with details in white, pink and a brighter yellow. A gorgeous colour combination!
MATERIAL: An Asian satin brocade which we think is made from synthetic silk.
CONDITION: There is some framing happening on the left sleeve. There is also one faint stain on the front of the jacket (circled in photos). There is one more similar on the back. We have not attempted stain cleaning. On the skirt, the zipper flap needs to be put back into the edge of the waistband and stitched there. It looks like there was an alteration here as there is another line of stitching.
